Mills & Boon x Lorraine #RacyReads Lifestyle Competition

There’s been much excitement in the Cherish PR office in recent weeks, due in part to the very exciting lifestyle competition with our client Mills & Boon launched this morning on Lorraine. The British romance publishing giant Mills & Boon have teamed up with the very lovely Lorraine Kelly to launch its Racy Reads viewer competition, a nationwide search to find the next big name in Erotic Fiction. The competition began this morning, Monday 14th of January, and will be judged by worldwide bestseller Jackie Collins and one of Mills & Boon’s most successful authors, London-based Victoria Fox.

The competition is perfect for any budding writers out there who want to emulate the success of such writers as Jackie Collins and E. L. James and would like to kick start the new year with a fabulous new writing career. As well as getting an advance on sales from Mills and Boon, the writer will also join Jackie in the USA for a lunch where she will pass on some of her writing experience. The winning author will have the chance to complete their novel and see it published by Mills and Boon.

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next big thing in erotic fiction why not give it a go? To enter the competition viewers must submit the first 1,000 words of their story to www.itv.com/lorraine by 28th January. Three finalists will be revealed week commencing 11th February and the winner announced on Valentine’s Day. The winner will have the opportunity to finish their story and have it published by Mills and Boon in July 2013. Entrants must be unpublished authors. Full terms and conditions on www.itv.com/lorraine.

What a fantastic opportunity for budding authors, it’s time to clear the diary and get writing! If you are interested in finding out more about our work with consumer brands and lifestyle competitions, please get in touch by emailing info@cherishpr.com or calling us on +44 (0)20 3626 0283.
