Fashion bloggers, tweet boutique and social currency

The inaugural Bloggers Fashion Week took place from 24-26 March in London and over 200 bloggers were involved – from styling, live blogging and even sashaying down the catwalk.

Working with our client ShopStyle, we organised a Tweet Boutique event to take place from 6 to 7pm on the last day and bloggers were invited to take part by tweeting to Shopstyle and using the hashtag #TweetBoutique. By tweeting, the bloggers built up social currency which could then be used to ‘purchase’ items such as jewellery, champagne glasses and delicious macaroons.

Our client Hotel Tonight, the uber stylish last minute hotel booking App, provided a prize for the blogger who earned the most social currency. And the prize? Every fashion blogger’s dream… a trip to Paris, of course! The lucky winner was April Todd who will be packing her stylish suitcases and saying ‘au revoir’ to London and ‘bonjour’ to Paris, courtesy of ShopStyle and Hotel Tonight.
