Top Tips: How to Achieve Startup Growth

You’ve spent months, even years working on your dream startup, turning it into a reality. After scoring funding, testing your product (over and over and over again) you’re left wondering… what now? How do I take that next step and get my startup noticed? How do I achieve startup growth? This is the perfect time to consider PR.

PR is about getting you and your company noticed by your target audience, whether they are customers or potential investors. However, before you go out and tell the world about your company, there are a few challenges you have to overcome and a good PR team can certainly help you do so.

Challenge 1: Tunnel vision

Working on a startup inevitably involves a large amount of passion and dedication, which can lead to  tunnel vision. To you, your innovation is the best thing to happen to the world since sliced bread, but others get lost in its mechanics and fail to see the bigger picture, which can be frustrating. PR takes your innovation, clarifies the messaging and turns the language into one that everyone understands and can’t ignore.

Challenge 2: Uniting your marketing platforms

There are a variety of platforms your startup can use to raise visibility, such as Medium, Tumblr, your website or blog, and a variety of social media channels. However, the trickiest part of raising your visibility is in establishing your personality and tone of voice, but most importantly how you communicate through all the various channels.

Twitter alone has 320 million users and startups can find it difficult to create engaging content that taps into these large audiences.  PR can help your business identify the best platforms to reach your target audience, whilst creating content that allows you to start a conversation with them.

Challenge 3: Testing

Without a doubt, one of the scariest things about creating a new business is gauging the public’s reaction to your product. Testing the market is a crucial part of the establishment phase and if done correctly, sets your business up for success. PR allows you to test your product with the market (for example a soft launch campaign) and make any necessary changes before launch. This will smooth out any issues and give you a better idea of your consumer base.

Resolving the above challenges are just some of the ways PR can help your startup growth. To help you, Little Bear has a variety of packages to suit your startup needs at any stage of setup. From consultancy to launch projects, Little Bear will help you grow your small business from where it is to where you want it to be.
