IFA Consumer Tech Show, What to Expect01/09/2016
IFA, one of the world’s largest and oldest consumer tech shows, begins this week in Berlin. First taking place in 1924, the event boasts more than 10,000 innovations and over 245,000 visitors worldwide. The 2015 expo brought us innovations in wearables, washing machines and curved TVs – Here’s what to expect this year from the consumer tech show:
Beginning with ShowStoppers – an invitation only event that connects the media with exhibitors, where companies launch and demo new products. This pre-show has become so important that Canadian based Rakuten Kobo is launching its latest e-reader, the Kobo Aura ONE (available on 6th September) at ShowStoppers.
As with previous years, wearables are popular with attendees excited to get their hands around the latest tech. This week, Fitbit has already announced updates to the Flex and the Charge which will include workout tracking and guided breathing exercises.
Asus have announced ‘Zenvolution’, new Zen-branded products such as smartwatches and mobile phones.
There will also be a selection of top campaigners from Indiegogo, the crowdfunding platform, showcasing everything from watch wearables to ball cameras. Campaigns at the event include Numio, Classi, Keezel and Panono. Ockel is a particularly innovative Windows PC, which is as powerful as a desktop and fits in your pocket!
IFA is shaping up to be a fantastic consumer tech show this year! Stay tuned for our roundup of the best tech and trends next week.
